The third 2026 issue of Acta IMEKO is complete and published.

Dear readers,
The third issue of volume 15 (year 2026) of Acta IMEKO is now complete.
There are 27 research papers - from the General track and from three Thematic tracks (Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, Infrared thermography and Experimental Mechanics) - in this issue.

The Thematic issue dedicated to 'Archaeology and Cultural Heritage' includes 7 extended versions of papers that were presented at and selected from the 2025 IMEKO TC26 International Conference on Metrology for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, held in Bergamo, Italy, from October 15 to 17, 2025.

In another track, entitled 'Infrared thermography: challenges and new frontiers', there is this just one paper but in concludes a series of articles on the subject that were published in earlier issues of Acta IMEKO in 2024 and 2025. 

The third track deals with Experimental Mechanics and offers the newest results. These were presented at the IMEKO TC15 Collegium 2026, held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 10 to 12 June 2026. The Collegium was organised by the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences under the auspices of IMEKO Technical Committee 15 – Experimental Mechanics. Here, we have - in a first part - 6 articles. This Thematic issue will be continued in the next issue. 

Finally, there are 13 papers in the General track. Two of them belong to the Thematic track 'From Molecules to Models: Cutting-Edge Measuring Systems for Materials, Diagnostic Techniques, and Digital Innovations in Cultural Heritage Preservation' which will also be continued and concluded in coming issues.
