Newsletter February 2025

The February issue of the Newsletter has been published.

IMEKO's year started very excitingly. There are some significant changes! In the very first days of January, the election of our incoming president, Barbara Goldstein, took place. The first article is about her. Since January, IMEKO has a new Technical Committee, TC26, called "Metrology for Cultural Heritage". This new committee and its officers are introduced in this issue. It is only February, yet the event calendar is quite full! Nine Technical Committees are in the advanced stages of organizing their conferences, and there are still more to come. As for publishing, the Editor-in-Chief of our new Elsevier-affiliated journal introduces Measurement: Digitalization. The latest 2024 issue of Acta IMEKO is completed and published. IMEKO is active in the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) initiative of the Joint Statement of Intent on Digital Transformation in the international scientific and quality infrastructure. We present the latest developments.
