Abstract

Following the publication of the 3^rd edition of the <i>International vocabulary of metrology – Basic and general concepts and associated terms</i>, the paper gives a comprehensive analysis of specific issues concerning the calibration operations of a measuring instrument and the proper application of the many relevant concepts.
