A MEASUREMENT LABORATORY OVER THE INTERNET BASED ON JINI

Abstract

A novel measurement laboratory, Jini-Lab, based on Internet and Jini services is proposed and xperimented. The key features of Jini allowing the development of the distributed measurement laboratory are highlighted. The measurement experiments concern the monitoring of the power network characteristics. Attention is focused on the two services: the power network analyser service and the monitoring service.
