Short biography
Luca Callegaro (1967) holds a degree in Electronic Engineering (1992) and a PhD in Physics (1996), both from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He joined the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, INRIM (formerly Istituto Elettrotecnico Nazionale Galileo Ferraris, IEN), Torino, Italy, in 1996. He has been an adjunct professor of electronic measurements at Politecnico di Torino, member of the Scientific Council of IEN, and head of the Nanoscience and Materials Division of INRIM. He is presently head of the Quantum Electronics section of INRIM: his research interests are focused on electrical impedance, and he is responsible for the Italian National standards of electrical capacitance, inductance, ac resistance and ac voltage ratio. He is deputy delegate to the General Assembly of EURAMET, the European Association of National Metrology Institutes, and was chairman of the EURAMET Technical Committee for Electricity and Magnetism (TC-EM) for four years.
