Short biography
Ján Šaliga received M.Sc. and PhD. Degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering from the Technical University of Košice, Slovakia (TUKE) in 1982 and 1995, respectively. He is currently a full professor at the faculty of electrical engineering and Informatics TUKE (since 2013). He is also chairmen of the academy senate of this faculty, a member of both Slovak research grant agencies, and a reviewer of the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. From 2015 to 2018 he was vice-dean of the faculty. Since 2016 he is head of one from two excellent research teams in Slovakia in field of electronics and electrotechnics recognized by the Slovak accreditation commission.
