Short biography
Yurii Tesyk received the M.Sc. (Ing.) degree and its PhD (C.Sc.) degree from the Polytechnical University in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1972 and 1985, respectively. Since 1985 he has been a scientific research with the Department of Measurement of Institute of Electrodynamics (IED) of National academy of science (NAS) of Ukraine. Since 1990 he is a Head of metrological laboratory of IED NAS of Ukraine. Since 1994 he is an Associated Professor of electrical measurements with the Department of Electronic, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Kyiv Technological University. Since 2008 he is a Head of Department of measuring of parameters of electromagnetic processes of IED NAS of Ukraine. Since 2013 he is a Professor of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. He is author or co-author of two books and about 150 papers. Author or co-author more then 10 patents of USA, France, Germany & et. cetera. Vice-chairman of scientific council of IED NASU of defence of PhD degrees. Participant of research and development of more then 20 series measuring instruments. His main research interests: research and development of theory of fundamental metrology in area of measuring of electrical and magnetic parameters. Creation of new methods and devices for reproduction and measuring power, energy, voltage, current, indexes of quality of electrical energy, alternative and direct magnetic fields. Member of IMEKO International Technical Committee TC-4 (Measurement of electrical quantities).
