- Abstract:
- The acoustic emission (AE) technique has been used for decades to detect damage onset and propagation in different kind of materials. The more complex microstructure of the material, the more information can be derived from the AE signal.
Solid mechanics experimentalist are familiar with the acoustic emission produced by the material during the loading phase, which sometimes can be heard simply by naked ears. - Download:
