- Abstract:
- A method for diagnosing faults in communication systems based on QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulation scheme is proposed. The most relevant faults affecting this modulation have been observed and modelled. Such faults, individually and combined, are classified and estimated by analysing the statistical moments of the received symbols. Simulation and experimental results of characterisation and validation highlight the practical effectiveness of the proposed method.
