While facing a rapidly increasing urbanization in parallel with its growing economy, the Tunisian city of Sfax knew an important change in the way of life of its population. This demographic transition was followed by an epidemiological transition characterized by the net decline of communicable diseases and the emergence of non-communicable diseases, particularly cancers. However, there are no efficient data collection and evaluation systems established so far except the cancer registry of the south which has been last updated in 2006. Besides, the link between environmental exposures and...

In this paper, an IoT and mobile based smart water level controlling system has been implemented to send alert notification message to the farmers and to deliver anytime information about the water level in order to fill the tank with the necessary water. This system allows continuous pouring of the required amount of water to crops, provides continuous control from overflowing and avoids lack of water in the tank, which can cause the damaging of the pump. To this aim, WeMos D1 mini was used to determine the water level inside a container based on data received from the connected...

In this research paper, we propose a computer system whose main objective is to connect different sensors to a web server containing a database. The monitoring system can help to view in real time environment data like temperature and humidity. By using sensor connected to the Raspberry Pi Minicomputer which stores them on remote server and makes them available to Internet users. Collected environment data are sent to ThingSpeak web server using simple Internet connection. A supervisor through a dashboard monitors various data. The system can help to resolve emergencies. In this way, it...

In this work, an electrochemical sensor based on iron oxide-reduced graphene oxide nanococmposite modified screen printed graphite electrode (Fe 3 O 4 -rGO/SPGE) has been developed for selective detection of nitrite ions in drinking water using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The proposed nitrite electrochemical sensor exhibited a relative standard deviation of 4.37% for three replicate analysis of 10 -3 M L -1 NO 2 . In addition, it displays high electrochemical stability for nitrite oxidation over the pH 6.5, high sensitivity and low limit of detection of 1.2 x 10 -5 M L -1 with good...

It is commonly known that most readout circuits of the pH-ISFET, with temperature cancelation, were designed using MOSFET working in strong regime. Nevertheless, a classes of circuits elaborated with respect to MOSFET operating in weak inversion and moderate regime are also suitable for low-power systems such as ISFET sensor array for DNA detection. In this work a new integrated interface circuit that can perform a great temperature compensation to enhance stability of the readout circuit operating in weak inversion for ISFET was developed. At first, the experimental results agree with the...

Open channel flow measurements are largely used in the process industry to measure waste water discharge. Most measurements use open channel venturi or weir as the measuring device. Demands for sound measurement accuracy from process control, environmental quality systems and environmental protection authorities are constantly increasing. Indmeas has for years been engaged in quality maintenance of the waste water flow measurements of the Finnish process industry. The basis of quality maintenance is repeated field calibrations. The reference value for an open channel flow is determined by...

Rock gas permeability is one of the most important foundation parameters during exploration and development of oil/gas fields. At present, only Ø 25 mm × 25 mm rock gas permeability testing standard material is produced and calibrated in China, the value tracing to the source and device calibration of other specification rock permeability devices are dependent on overseas, which seriously restricts the development of rock physical property testing technique. On the basis of deep analysis to calibrating technique of rock permeability testing device, this paper introduces the entire diameter...

The flow profile in the natural gas pipelines can be measured by means of the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) to research effects of typical flow profile on gas flow measurement accuracy. Then the measurement accuracy can be improved by compensation. But there is rarely public report about this kind of examples up to know. In this case of test, safety is very important, for example, zero leaking and explosion prevent should be take account. In this paper the PIV system is introduced in detail. The unique design and production of a visual pipeline-section, a positive pressure ventilating...

This paper presents a built-in flow sensor for hydraulic system use. Unlike traditional counter parts, a MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems) differential pressure-sensing element and a low-cost throttle are integrated together in this sensor. It is of better spatial resolution and cause fewer losses than the widely used orifice flow meter. By theoretical analysis and experimental tests, we have achieved an optimized design strategy.

This paper introduces the technical status of rock permeability measuring technique to gas flow quantity measurement at home and abroad. Aiming to the problems of rock gas permeability measurement in the exploration and development process of oil/gas reservoir of low permeability, a set of automatic measuring device of throttling capillary gas flow quantity was developed, the throttling capillary P (Pressure)- Q (Quantity) regression measuring approach of rock permeability was set up. The approach, which is fast to measuring speed of the gas passing through rock, high to measuring accuracy,...
