DESIGN OF ARTEFACT FOR THE VERIFICATION OF THE CARL ZEISS METROTOM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPH

Abstract:
Industrial computed tomography enables, unlike conventional measuring methods and systems (CMM), evaluation not only of external dimensions of an object, but also its internal structure (material’s porosity). Unlike coordinate measuring machines, no international standard has been adopted for tomography devices that would facilitate smooth verification of such devices (calibration). The article describes the use of the artefact designed for the rapid verification of the Carl Zeiss Metrotom 1500 device.
